When we began planning the launch of Delphi, we started with a hypothesis: communications, done well, could be a genuine competitive advantage for tech companies.
Or to put it another way, comms could play a bigger role than it has historically done in delivering business strategy and increasing reputation capital.
But like any good start-up, we wanted to test this hypothesis with our potential customers first and listen closely to their feedback before we launched to the world.
So we tapped into our networks and conducted qualitative interviews with 20 world-class comms directors at some of the UK’s leading tech companies, both big and small.
From these conversations, we got a snapshot of what comms leaders within tech were thinking and feeling in 2023.
What we found was invaluable in shaping the Delphi proposition and the services we offer. And we’ve summarised what we heard in a report now available on our website – please download it and let us know what you think.
For us, it was a brilliant opportunity to take a step back from the day-to-day and understand what comms leaders want from their consultants now.
It really feels like we’re going through a transition moment in tech, as economic challenges re-shape the funding landscape, working practices are still in flux, and new products like mixed reality and generative AI suddenly explode after years of development.
Comms leaders are therefore taking stock and reassessing their needs. They want a partner who can go on that journey with them and help them navigate a complex world with experience, expertise and empathy.
