3 types of narrative that tech companies need

At Delphi we create narratives for tech companies that help them communicate effectively. We find these come in three types:

Brand narrative

✍️ This is your core company story (sometimes called a comms narrative) that explains who you are, what you stand for, and where you’re going

💖 It needs to mix the rational (what you do) with the emotional (why anyone should care)

⌚ And it needs to balance the past (company heritage), present (your proposition now), and future (why you’ll be relevant tomorrow)

Personal narrative

🧑‍💼 For senior leaders at the top of the company, or those in key roles, their profile needs to be supported with a personal narrative they can use in key conversations with customers, investors, talent, analysts and media

📈 This needs to link their values and goals with the direction of the business

Thematic narrative

🌍 On key issues like AI, cybersecurity, sustainability or diversity – you’ll need a clear story that explains your beliefs and is evidenced by your actions

The Delphi team have helped hundreds of tech companies and leaders create these narratives to strengthen their reputations and cut through with media and customers alike. Drop us a line at hello@wearedelphi.com if you’d like to see how we could help you.
